The Newnan Tigers have gotten together for several years now at southside host homes for potluck LSU football game views. The past two years they have sponsored a football board and raised $800 for our scholarship endowment program. |

| Sweet Send Off Hosts Record Number of LSU Freshmen; Scholarships Awarded | |
|
Every summer for three years now LSU Atlanta has invited all incoming LSU freshmen from Georgia and their families to a dessert social to welcome them to the Tiger family. This year, of the 88 Georgia students registered to go to LSU, we had 27 join us- smashing our record by more than double. One incoming freshman, Melody Rowe, was recipient of a prestigious and coveted LSU Top 100 Scholar award.
