The Greater Atlanta LSU Alumni Club
The 2009 edition of LSU Atlanta's "Crawfish Craze in Red Clay Country" returned to the pastoral settings of the Corps of Engineers Riverside Park near Allatoona Dam on April 25, a place we have claimed for our own and rechristened "Bayou Allatoona." We will link a photo gallery soon.
Where to start... how about how we ended up? The goal was to have a great time with fellow Tiger fans and raise a bunch of scholarship money. Done and done. Nearly 400 P&G faithful...along with a smattering of curious Dawgs and other assorted and awed denizens of other alma maters...invaded the grounds to enjoy spicy bugs and other tasty vittles, cool beverages, hot Zydefunk music and warm company. Some set up tents and relaxed in the tree shaded areas of our version of "Touchdown Village" while others staked out a table under the breezy pavillion. Tons of prizes were given out and no one left hungry.

We were very successful at our annual crawfish boil on April 26th. The combined efforts of volunteers and our view-in venue staff turned a somewhat soggy day into a memorable event. Catering Cajun kept the crawfish coming throughout the entire event. We wish to thank Catering Cajun for providing excellent service and also a major donation to the alumni fund in the amount of $1100.
