Hey Tiger Fans,
LSU will host the Troy Trojans for Homecoming this week, in a game rescheduled from Sept. 6 due to Hurricane Gustav. The game will be televised on TigerVision, LSU's pay-per-view network. Join us for a free view-in of the LSU-Troy game on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET.
Join the LSU Atlanta Alumni Chapter on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET for the official LSU-Troy view-in party at Rio Grande Cantina in Buckhead. Rio Grande Cantina (3227 Roswell Road, 404-237-3227) serves as LSU Atlanta's weekly destination for football games in the fall. Also, new for 2008, Buffalo Wild Wings in Alpharetta (2375 Mansell Road, 678-352-4599) has been added as a Northside view-in location.
Can't make it to Baton Rouge for the game? Join us for a taste of Tiger Stadium in Atlanta at Rio Grande Cantina or Buffalo Wild Wings in Alpharetta.

BECOME AN LSU ATLANTA VOLUNTEER: Each year, the Atlanta Alumni Association elects a slate of board members to occupy the most important positions of the board. Of course there are many other opportunities to support our association throughout the year without committing to chapter leadership. If you have a desire to support our association in one of these very important positions, we would like to speak to you ASAP. We would like to have the new board members elected so that when the New Year arrives, they are ready to take over. Click here for more information on how you can help LSU Atlanta.

LSU GEORGIA PLATES: The LSU Atlanta chapter is now accepting applications to have special LSU plates manufactured by the state:
Georgia Department of Revenue Commissioner Bart L. Graham has approved the LSU Atlanta Alumni Chapter's request for special interest or commemorative license plates in the state of Georgia. We have until April 24, 2010 to collect 1,000 pre-paid applications for the plates. If we reach 1,000 applications, the state will begin production, and LSU can join Auburn, Florida and Clemson as out-of-state schools with Georgia plates. With the Tiger football team treating the Georgia Dome like their home field (6-1, three SEC titles) -- and thousands of LSU alumni and fans across the state -- the LSU Atlanta chapter figured it was time we have our own Georgia plates, too. Details on how to apply for a plate, and a downloadable application, can be found at lsuatlanta.com: Application information for LSU plates in Georgia
