GAMEDAY IN TIGERTOWN: ESPN College GameDay will originate its show from the LSU golf course "old front nine" grass area near the intersection of Nicholson Drive and Burbank Drive this weekend.
The show will air live from 10 a.m. until noon ET on Saturday, and a segment will also be taped on Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. CT.
ESPN’s College GameDay Built by The Home Depot is hosted by Chris Fowler with analysis from Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit and Desmond Howard. This year marks the 22nd season of college football coverage by GameDay with 15 of those years being on the campus of college football's top game of the week.
The LSU Parade Ground, the location of ESPN College GameDay for their last three visits to Baton Rouge, is not available this weekend due to the LSU Salutes celebration taking place there on Saturday morning. LSU Salutes is an official university celebration honoring LSU’s military alumni and other veterans and is annually scheduled for the weekend of the home football game nearest to Veterans Day.

LSU GEORGIA PLATES: The LSU Atlanta chapter is now accepting applications to have special LSU plates manufactured by the state:
Georgia Department of Revenue Commissioner Bart L. Graham has approved the LSU Atlanta Alumni Chapter's request for special interest or commemorative license plates in the state of Georgia. We have until April 24, 2010 to collect 1,000 pre-paid applications for the plates. If we reach 1,000 applications, the state will begin production, and LSU can join Auburn, Florida and Clemson as out-of-state schools with Georgia plates. With the Tiger football team treating the Georgia Dome like their home field (6-1, three SEC titles) -- and thousands of LSU alumni and fans across the state -- the LSU Atlanta chapter figured it was time we have our own Georgia plates, too. Details on how to apply for a plate, and a downloadable application, can be found at lsuatlanta.com: Application information for LSU plates in Georgia
