What's better than winning a football national championship? CELEBRATING a football national championship with your fellow LSU fans at the alumni crawfish boil! It's where "all-you-can-BEAT" meets "all-you-can-EAT!!"
Make plans NOW to attend LSU Atlanta's annual crawfish boil, which will happen this Saturday, April 26th from noon to 4 pm on the patio at Rio Grande Cantina in Buckhead. Advance reservations are closed as of Friday, April 25. However, you can still purchase a walk-up ticket for $35 at the event on Saturday.
This will be the most fun and delicious event of the year! Our DJ will crank up perfect bayou party sounds with plenty of LSU tunes. Our famous raffle will feature lots of neat give away items, and an auction of LSU memorabilia will include 2008 LSU game tickets, a Les Miles autographed football and other memorabilia. Catering Cajun will break out the Zatarain's seasonings and fire up the big boiling rig for mounds of hot spicy crawfish, sausage, corn and potatoes. It will be an ALL YOU CAN EAT event so bring a healthy appetite!
After Aprill 22 and for walk-ups at the event, the entry price will be $35.00 for all you can eat and $5.00 for children. Event will go on rain or shine as there is adequate cover outside and in the restaurant.
For the crustacean-challenged, Rio Grande will also be preparing hot dogs, hamburgers and a few menu appetizers that will be included in the price. Their regular priced menu will also be available. Rio Grande's patio has a very large awning to keep us in the shade, so everyone should be very comfortable.
Rio Grande, the home of LSU Atlanta's football view-ins, is located at 3227 Roswell Rd. near East Andrews in central Buckhead.
Remember that proceeds from this event help fund our ongoing scholarship program for Georgia high school students wanting to attend LSU.
Let's get our Atlanta Tiger "mojo" working to prepare for another great LSU football season that will be highlighted by an ASPCA Animal Abuse Warning for the beating the UGA Dawgs will receive when they visit Tiger Stadium this fall!
