Crawfish Craze Rocks Bayou Allatoona: Story Now Online, More Photos Coming Soon
All we can say is WOW. With nearly 400 tickets sold, it was the largest Atlanta chapter boil in history. It was a perfect day, everyone had fun (except the crawfish!) and we raised a record amount for our scholarship endowment fund with our drawings, new memberships and the live and silent auctions. Thanks to all of our sponsors and volunteers, especially Duffy Realty of Georgia for donating their auction team services and sponsoring the band, and to Catering Cajun for extra donations of food and loaning tables and equipment for us to use.

Tiger Tour with Les Miles: Advance Discount Deadline is May 15th
Get Eight Tiger Fans Together and Reserve a Table!
There’s only a couple weeks left to get tickets at a discount for the Tiger Tour Featuring Les Miles, the star-studded three hour multimedia show that is coming to the Cobb Galleria Thursday, June 11th. Men’s basketball coach Trent Johnson and AD Joe Alleva are other confirmed presenters, and many Tiger Tour stops have last-minute additions to the schedule.
Individual tickets for only $55 each until May 15th, and if you can get eight people together you can lock down a reserved table a little closer to the action on stage. Tier 2 tables are only $440, same cost as eight regular tickets. There are a very few Tier 1 premium tables still left for $600. With capacity expected to be 300, there won’t be a bad seat in the house, but it will be even more fun if you enjoy it with other friends at your own table.
Don’t delay – ticket price goes up to $65 after May 15th!

LSU Forever Campaign Chair Henson Moore Coming to ATL
Former Congressman
Henson Moore, who has generously given his time to be national chair of the LSU Forever campaign, will be in Atlanta on May 14 to meet with potential significant donors in our area. If you are able to consider making a tax-deductible contribution to LSU's enduring legacy of excellence, Mr. Moore is available for a limited number of appointments to meet and share information about this critical campaign.

LSU License Plate Update
The crawfish boil helped give a shot in the arm to our license plate campaign as 15 new orders were taken at the event. We are now just over one-quarter of the way to our goal of 1,000 pre-paid plate orders. We have until the end of next April to get Tiger fans signed up.
We need YOU to help pass along the word. Tell your Tiger friends about the plate program. Send them to our Website to get info and an application. And if you would like some “push cards” to hand to fellow fans and on windshields of LSU-marked vehicles you encounter out and about, email us at
info@lsuatlanta.com and we’ll be happy to send some to you.
It is up to all of us to do what we can to spread the word, and to get people who have been waiting to go ahead and get their application and $25 fee in. The fee is refundable if we do not make it so
there is no risk in applying!

Sponsor Spotlight: The Peoples Restaurant / New Orleans Fine Catering With Crawfish Bowls and Mother's Day Brunch Next Weekend
Our Touchdown sponsor is actually two distinct businesses driven by one talented New Orleans native, Chef Demietreick Scott: The Peoples Restaurant, a down-home Creolized breakfast and lunch operation on Hwy. 9 in Roswell, and New Orleans Fine Catering, where the sky is the limit for what he produces for any occasion.
Located at the former Roswell Kitchen just a couple blocks north of the square where Hwy 120 turns north from Marietta, The Peoples Kitchen, open daily 6 am – 3 pm, has adopted the basics of what you expect from a breakfast and lunch shop and infused a Louisiana flair with items like Lost Bread French Toast, Beignets and Café au Lait, plus Gumbo, Po Boys and Po Girlz (offering grilled seafood) and daily specials.

There are also special events that you can keep up with by adding your name to their email list at
www.neworleanstpr.com and Mother’s Day weekend is one of those times. Sat.- Sun., May 9-10, you can dive into a nice helping of
Boiled Crawfish and Crabs,
Smoked Sausage and Turkey Necks along with Corn and Potatoes for only $17.95 served between 2 – 9 pm. And Chef Scott honors bayou Moms with a special
Mother’s Day Brunch on May 10 between 10 – 2 with special menu items like N.O. style BBQ Shrimp and Grits, Crawfish Hash, Fried Catfish Benedict and Tenderloin Benedict.
Chef Scott grew up around New Orleans cooking, earned his certification and trained in New Orleans at such venerable restaurants as Commanders Palace and Ralph & Kacoo’s before coming to Atlanta several years ago to work in large scale hotel and catering operations. Now he has his own catering business and has handled everything from personal chef demonstrations for the likes of the Arthur Blank family to ornate weddings and corporate dinners. Chef Scott invites you to allow him to make your next gathering or meal a great experience! Phone 770-876-9000.
