Want to Own a Piece of Tiger Stadium History? Crawfish Craze is Next Saturday - Deadline to Order is Monday
How would you like to have a One Of A Kind piece of Tiger Stadium memorabilia to display (and potentially use!) in your own Tiger Room? Our resourceful board member Mark Richard recently returned from Baton Rouge with a truly special part of Tiger Stadium history from 1974-2006 and authenticated by Associate Athletic Director for Facilities Ronnie Halliburton, and it is destined to be someone’s prized and coveted LSU collector’s piece. What is it? Not so fast…and no peeking dere Boudreaux!
Come see this Surprise Auction Item next Saturday, April 25th as Lake Allatoona becomes Bayou Allatoona for “Crawfish Craze in Red Clay Country” hosted by LSU Atlanta. Auctioneer Rhonda Duffy will be instructed to keep a reserve price for this piece and if it does not sell for the minimum we will hold it for another day. It’s just that special! Other great auction items include LSU home football tickets, a Creole chef catered dinner for four in your home by New Orleans Fine Catering, and a crawfish party for ten people from Boudreaux’s Cajun Market and Café. All proceeds from the crawfish boil go to our scholarship endowment fund.
Remember that the absolute deadline to order your crawfish platters is Monday so we can reserve our live crawfish to be brought up from Louisiana. $10 admission gets you music by Zydefunk (sponsored by Duffy Realty of Atlanta), Red beans and rice from Henry’s Louisiana Grill, jambalaya from Catering Cajun, Cap'n Bill’s famous (or is it infamous?) grilled burgers and dogs, dessert samples by Catered Cakes, and one ticket for the door prize drawing of 40 or more items. Remember it's BYOB, we will only have a limited supply of bottle water available there. We will accept walkups at the event, but can only promise crawfish for those who order and pay for their platters by the Monday deadline.
Catering Cajun reports that the crawfish are just now getting to prime size and quality so our timing is perfect with the best crawfish of the season for the next few weeks. Bring your Tiger tailgate setups and lounge on the lawn if you like or enjoy the covered pavilion. But you don’t want be on the receiving end of this message:
“YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE CHER’!”

Get a group table together for Atlanta’s June 11th Date of Tiger Tour Featuring Les Miles
With big screen TVs and premium audio for the three hour multimedia show, there won’t be a bad seat in the house for the Tiger Tour Featuring Les Miles coming to the Cobb Galleria Centre on Thursday, June 11th. However, you can get one of the best seats by having a reserved table near the front of the stage. There are still a couple of premium Tier 1 tables in the first two rows available. Tier 2 tables do not cost any more than the total for 8 regular tickets so if you can get 8 people together you can reserve your own table and move ahead of individual ticket holders who will be free to sit anywhere in the open seating area.

Lady Tigers Football 101 Clinic
Sarah Clayton thought this event might be of interest to the women wearing P&G in the ATL as a cool quick getaway to Baton Rouge this summer. The Lady Tiger Football 101 Clinic will be held on Friday, July 31st at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. Coach Miles and others will provide information and helpful tips on the inner workings of the game. Miles commented after his first Lady Tigers clinic that he would have to upgrade the “curriculum” because LSU’s female fans knew a heckuva lot more than women from other fan bases!
To register, go to
www.LSUsports.net and pull down the “Fan Zone” tab. Click on Youth Camps and Scroll down to Football Camps and select Lady Tiger FB 101. For more info email Yael Lofton, Coordinator of Football Operations at
