Our crawfish boil returns to the beautiful riverside picnic setting of "Bayou Allatoona" (Lake Allatoona's Riverside Park Pavilion 45 minutes NW of downtown (Slideshow HERE and Google Map HERE) The expansive park features paved parking, a covered pavilion with lots of table seating, permanent bathrooms and a playground area. The party kicks off at noon. Zydefunk will perform between 12:30 and 3:30 p.m., and food service from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.  Catering Cajun will once again be bringing  the crawfish from Louisiana and cooking them fresh onsite.

Admission and food:  There will be a $10 admission for all adults, and only $3 for children under 12, which allows everyone to sample red beans and rice from Henry’s Louisiana Grill, chicken and sausage jambalaya from Catering Cajun, plus hamburgers and hot dogs and yet more to be announced.  Mudbug lovers have the additional option to order in advance for boiled crawfish platters at 2 lb. for $10 or 4 lb. platters for $20. You can order as many platters in any combination to get just the amount of crawfish you want. Corn and potatoes come with the platters (while it lasts) and are not included in the weight. Note: there may be extra crawfish available for purchase on the day of event, but we can only guarantee what is ordered by April 18th - because we bring them in from Louisiana we have to have a close estimate of how much to order in advance. Also note that this is a “bring your own beverages” event, so don’t forget to bring your cooler with soda, water or other preferred drinks.

If you prefer, you can use the Mail Order Form (HERE, or download below.) Just be sure to mail it with your payment so we receive it by April 18th.

Door Prizes: There will be over 30 door prizes given away, including restaurant certificates, LSU hats, shirts and other gear, Community Coffee gift baskets and coffee, and more. Everyone gets one ticket with admission, and you will be able to obtain more when you check in. Complete list will be provided in our email newsletter soon.
Members Only Drawing: There will be a prize drawing from among the dues-paying members only in attendance.

Live Auction: In addition to sponsoring our live band, Duffy Realty Co. will also provide a professional auction team to provide an entertaining experience! Rhonda Duffy is not only the top real estate agent in Georgia, she is also a licensed auctioneer and has offered to “kick it up a notch” for a truly fun charity auction. Items up for bid (so far!) will include pairs of 2009 LSU Football game tickets, a crawfish boil for ten, a home-catered meal by a Creole chef, and an LSU football autographed by Les Miles (and?…stay tuned).

"Tailgate" at the Boil: This year, you are welcome to bring your own canopy and tailgate coolers and setups as the open lawn area will be transformed into “Touchdown Village.” We’ll even give a prize for the best tailgaters and for the winners of the cornhole and horseshoes contest! (Note: The Corps of Engineers will not allow vehicles on the grass.)

Volunteer? Glad you asked! We are looking for a few good Tigers who want to help us put on this event, or to help with future activities. Even one hour of help with a task is greatly appreciated.  Use the same email address just below. Sorry, no one on the board or volunteering gets free crawfish. We do it for the love of Mike.

If you have any questions about the event, email us at events@LSUatlanta.com.

It will be a full afternoon of fun and games and spicy good eatin’ on Bayou Allatoona. Don't miss it!
