Atlanta Only One of Three Cities Outside La. to Get Tiger Tour
Multimedia Show and Tell is the Best Produced of All Coach Tours; DON'T MISS IT!
The reviews are in! Earlier dates of The 2009 Tiger Tour Featuring Coach Les Miles have Tiger fans raving about how informative, well produced and fun this tour has been. With only Houston and Pensacola as the other tour stops outside of Louisiana, we are indeed fortunate to have Atlanta on the schedule and want to keep it coming back in the future.
If you have been waiting to decide to buy a ticket, please get yours ordered now! Your alumni chapter and TAF chapter worked hard to get this show to Atlanta for the first time (Thursday, June 11th at Cobb Galleria-
Tiger Tour Info Here) and we really need a strong showing by loyal Atlanta Tiger fans. Some have told us that the Thursday night date makes it harder to attend, but this was the only date that worked for the coaches’ schedules to come to Atlanta. Besides, if LSU was playing a football game in the Georgia Dome on a Thursday night would that keep you from going?
The Tiger Tour features Coach Les Miles, Men’s Basketball Head Coach Trent Johnson and Athletic Director Joe Alleva and weaves their talks and Q&A with premium audio-video presentations on big screen TVs over a three hour period. The displays, silent auction and photo area add to the fun. With only 300 seats available, there won’t be a bad seat in the house.
You can still work on bringing a group of 8 together for a reserved Tier 2 table - even if you’ve already submitted a partial order. Simply call one of the contacts on the order form and they will work with you to get your group table reserved. Individual ticket holders will be free to sit anywhere in the tables behind reserved ones and will still have a great view.
Find out more about this exciting event and
Download the Order Form here. We need to sell out this event to get it back every year, and you don’t want to miss this informative and entertaining night so GET YOUR TICKETS NOW!

In Town Tigers and Tastings Debut “Vino U” Wine Sessions June 4
When Kelly Resignola contacted us to have Tastings Wine Bar and Bistro in Decatur as a Touchdown! Level sponsor, our In Town Tigers group perked up their ears. The result is the creation of “Vino U”: Specialty wine sessions with each offering influential wine teachings, five wine tastings, and a pairing with a cheese and hors d'oeuvres!
This fun series of "Wine 101" informational tastings that will teach all the basics about wine...all for only $15 each session. This will be informal so you don't have to sign up or attend every week, but there will be a fun quiz at the end of each session and one person will get a $10 discount on a $20 Tastings card for a future return visit. Here’s what the In Town Tigers Course Description reads for prospective “students”:
Wine 101 - Introduction to Wine Basics: Common Wine Misconceptions, What is Wine? How is it Made? “Tasting” it versus “Drinking” it.

WINE 101: Meet Your Bottle
Thursday, June 4th @ 6:30PM
335 W. Ponce de Leon Ave.

In Town Tigers “Last Crawfish Party of 2009” Saturday Update
Over 35 people have RSVP’d to enjoy boiled crawfish at the In Town Tigers’ Last Crawfish Party of 2009 at Depeaux Restaurant in Decatur this Saturday 1 -4 p.m. The update is that Depeaux has ordered more crawfish for the weekend to cover the party and if a few more people show up they will be able to handle them. (They won’t
cry if we eat the whole supply and they have to tell the dinner crowd the LSU fans ate up every crawfish left in Georgia!)
Depeaux’s regular platter price this year has been $18 but will be discounted to $15 for LSU fans at this event. (After 4 the price goes back up.) They are also offering $2 Pabst Blue Ribbon Tall Boys and $4 schooners of Abita draft beer- and everyday they offer no less than SIX varieties of Abita on tap!

LSU License Plate Update: Slow Burn, But Numbers Are Rising
As of this week, we have received pre-payment registrations for 382 LSU specialty Georgia license plates. The good news is that we are gaining between 20 and 30 orders per month, which means people like you are helping us find LSU fans out there that somehow have not heard about it until now. The challenge is that the initial deadline the state set for us to get to 1,000 is coming up at the end of April next year so we really need your help to keep this program in the back of your mind as you talk with your contacts and see LSU fans out and about in your daily doings. And please be sure to reach out to your LSU friends that live outside of the metro area in Georgia.
If you have been waiting to sign up – you need to DO IT NOW! Georgia requires pre payment of the $25 fee and a completed registration form. LSUAA is depositing all monies in a separate escrow account until we reach our 1,000 minimum. DON’T WAIT!
Also, we have only sold 26 of the first 100 sequenced numbers – the fee for those is $50 each. If you would like to upgrade your original order, or have any other questions about the license plate program, please email Sarah Clayton at
sleeclay@comcast.net.

LSU Baseball Hosts NCAA First Round Regional Tournament at Alex Box Stadium This Weekend – TV Situation Uncertain
Finding out information about the NCAA Baseball Regional Tournament TV coverage in advance has been harder to find than Ole Miss championship rings in any major sport. So while LSU is hosting a regional tourney at the new Alex Box Stadium this weekend, we can’t get hard information about whether any games or parts of games will be shown outside of La.
We can tell you that we should have better information for the next round and if LSU moves on to host a Super Regional we will alert you about viewins at Buffalo Wild Wings in Alpharetta in next week’s email newsletter. Likewise, any NCAA College World Series games on TV will also be shown there so watch for information when we get to Omaha!
