Meet Rohan Davey and Chad Lavalais at Front Page News This Saturday
In Town Tigers is a new group started by LSU Atlanta to plan and host more activities for Tigers with the city lifestyle. Most events will be inside the Perimeter, and the kickoff gathering will be Saturday, March 28th from 3 to 5 p.m. at Front Page News in Little Five Points (351 Moreland Ave.) featuring a very special meet-and-greet with LSU Football legends Rohan Davey and Chad Lavalais.
All LSU fans get a free ticket for great door prizes. Front Page News (a Touchdown sponsor of LSU Atlanta) will have drink specials and their full menu ready for LSU fans.
If you have a good question, fill out a card with a question for either or both players. Several of the best questions submitted will be asked onstage during the Q&A session, and one selected questioner will win a prize. An autograph period will follow the brief program.
If you are on Facebook, join in at “LSU Alumni Association – Atlanta” to mingle with In Town Tigers chaired by Charlie Vaughn.

Crawfish Boil Tickets Now on Sale
The prizes and mudbugs will be flying on Saturday, April 25th as Lake Allatoona becomes Bayou Allatoona for “Crawfish Craze in Red Clay Country” hosted by LSU Atlanta. Thanks for the positive feedback and to those of you who have contributed to the early burst of sales. In addition to music by Zydefunk (thanks to Duffy Realty of Atlanta for sponsoring the band!), there will be over 40 prizes given away in the general prize drawing, the new Members Only drawing and other special activities. The more people sign up, the more prizes we’ll throw into the party to make sure at least one out of five takes something home.
And hold onto your hats for the list of great items we’re putting together for auction – much more news on that will be coming soon!
You WON’T want to miss this one. Read the whole story HERE and then order your tickets and crawfish today!

Atlanta Chapter featured in Alumni Association’s LSU Magazine
LSU Atlanta was featured in the spring quarterly edition of LSU Magazine, which is distributed to all members of the main LSU Alumni Association. The story summarized improved and increased events and activities of the chapter, new sponsorship efforts, our role in obtaining the Tiger Tour, and the ongoing campaign to get 1,000 Tiger fans to order an LSU theme Georgia license plate. The story was also reprinted in a recent issue of Tiger Rag Magazine.
By donating directly to the LSU Alumni Association you will receive the LSU Magazine and other benefits. Please visit www.lsualumni.org to join. We also hope you additionally support LSU Atlanta’s chapter to support our efforts to bring improved activities and raise funds for our scholarship endowments. This year LSU Atlanta will complete its second endowment and so will award scholarships to two appreciative Georgia high school students going to LSU. Thanks to EVERYONE for supporting our efforts.
By becoming a dues paying member of LSU Atlanta, you could win prizes in our new regular “Members Only” prize drawings. Last week Charles Knight of Canton became our first member winner. Our next drawing will take place on April 6th, plus we will have a special prize drawing from members in attendance at our Crawfish Boil on April 25th.
Join or renew your LSU Atlanta Membership for 2009 to be eligible for these drawings. Annual dues are only $20. You can join here using Paypal or by mailing in a check.
You don’t need to be an LSU grad to be a member, we welcome all “alumni by choice” as members! Your interest in supporting LSU and your dues are the only things necessary for full membership.
