Atkins Park Smyrna Hosts Abita Po Boy Dinner Tues. Aug. 31 and Tailgate Blowout Sept. 4

Atkins Park in Smyrna is gearing up to be our Cobb County View In Location and is hosting a special event with Abita Beer next Tuesday that will be the perfect preseason kickoff party, followed by an all-day tailgate party atmosphere this Saturday for LSU and all college football fans

Tuesday 8/31 it’s an Abita Po Boy Dinner pairing selected premium Abita beers with some of Atkin’s kicked up po boy selections. The action starts at 7 pm when Abita’s Southeast Director helps introduce the menu and offers a trivia game with prizes and other giveaways for all who attend.

The 4 course menu includes traditional N.O. roast beef po boy (dripping with gravy ‘n debris), paneed veal cutlet and Looziana gator po boys- and they use Leidenheimer’s bread.
Each po boy will be paired with a special Abita brew, and the evening will be topped off with a dessert course of an Abita Root Beer Float. All for only $30 per person. You can also attend and order off the regular menu too but that’s a great deal for a memorable meal.

Chef Jason Monroe and partner Kevin Drawe have deep Louisiana roots and they’ve retooled their menu with more bayou favorites just in time for LSU football season. LSU Atlanta’s advance team was blown away with everything they sampled.

SEPT 4 TAILGATE ALERT: If you are not going to the Sept. 4 Kickoff Game in the Georgia Dome, Atkins Park will have an all day season kickoff party starting at noon. There will be outdoor tailgating activity and games with a 50 inch big screen TV to get everyone into the spirit, then watch LSU trounce the Tar Heels with your friends.
